Adaptive Sports Foundation member and Team Campgaw racer, Zach Elder, was invited to participate in his 2nd X Games for the Special Olympics Unified Race. 10 adaptive racers, representing the US, Germany and Norway are paired up with an X Games professional athletes to compete in a dual slalom event. Fastest combined times would win.

Zach has been racing for 6 years in the CMS division of USASA and was invited last year for the inaugural X-Games event. His former teammate was Scotty James and they won a bronze medal in 2015. This year, he was partnered with Danny Davis and the took home a Silver Medal!

We're extremely proud of Zach and all he has accomplished as an adaptive racer, it's an honor to be one of his home mountains. Snowboard Race Director for Team Campgaw Racing, Dave Hirschberg, worked with Zach leading up to the race. Dave described his journey working with Zach and his victory as "Absolutely the best moment of my snowboard career and one of the best moments of my life!"
